Occlusives

Occlusives are ingredients that form a physical barrier over the skin, sealing in moisture and preventing transepidermal water loss (TEWL). They sit on the skin’s surface, locking in hydration from humectants and emollients underneath. In the AgeBiome™ system, occlusives are used selectively to protect post-ritual skin without disrupting the microbiome or causing congestion.
